Services

For monitoring contamination with cytotoxic drugs we offer our customers the CYTO WIPE KITS. For antibiotics we have the AB WIPE KIT. With these kits you can take wipe samples from surfaces to check for contamination.

To assess exposure to cytotoxic drugs (uptake in the body), we offer our customers the CYTO URINE KIT. With this kit you collect spot urine samples from potentially exposed workers over 24 hrs. You need one kit per person per day.

The CYTO WIPE KITS, AB WIPE KITS and the CYTO URINE KITS can be ordered from our company by email. Ordering of the kits obliged the customer to sent the samples back to our lab for analysis. Kits cannot be ordered without analysis.

The CYTO WIPE KITS and AB WIPE KITS are self service kits. However, some customers prefer independent sampling by our company. For this service we charge an extra fee depending on the time needed for sampling and travelling to the sampling site(s).

In general the results of the analysis are available about 4 weeks after arrival at our lab. The customer will receive a report with the results and recommendations.

On request, a detailed quotation can be offered based on the number of samples and the number of drugs per sample to be analysed.

Cyto Wipe Kit

The CYTO WIPE KIT is developed to measure environmental contamination with the cytotoxic drugs cyclophosphamide, ifosfamide, 5-fluorouracil, methotrexate, cytarabin, gemcitabine, doxorubicin, etoposide, paclitaxel, and docetaxel by surface wipe sampling. This is the combi kit most frequently used in hospitals. A wipe kit contains the materials to take 6 wipe samples.

Three special CYTO WIPE KITS are available for mitomycine C, 6-mercaptopurin, and the platinum drugs (cisplatin – carboplatin – oxaliplatin).

AB Wipe Kit

The AB WIPE KIT is developed to measure environmental contamination with the antibiotics vancomycin, meronem, augmentin, ceftriaxon, cefotaxim, piperacillin, cloxacillin, and benzylpenicillin by surface wipe sampling. A wipe kit contains the materials to take 6 wipe samples.

Cyto Urine Kit

The CYTO URINE KIT is developed to assess occupational exposure to the cytotoxic drugs cyclophosphamide, ifosfamide and 5-fluorouracil by urine analysis. The urine kit contains the materials to take 10 urine samples (24 hour period). You need one kit per person per day.
